My friend & I went to Fishermans because they were on BluePath. My friend uses a power wheelchair and the staff were very welcoming and allowed him to keep his chair by our table, which is very convenient and reassuring for him. Sometimes other restaurants make you keep it out of the way. It was no problem; they made it happen! People just walked around. Service was friendly and we had a nice view. Also, the route to the restaurant from the Pier was accessible.

My good friend and I stop for coffee almost everyday at the Eugene Coffee Company. The counters are accessible, there is plenty of space between the tables and the restroom is accessible too. The best part is that the Barristas are friendly and efficient and the coffee is good. Also, they have a drive through if you are in a hurry. Thanks Eugene Coffee Company!

I have attended music festivals at the Shedd for 8 years. As a blind person, I need to know that i can ffunction in a new facility, and the people at the Shedd made sure I can. Example, 1. The coordinator made sure I had all materials, by rewriting the itinerary, so it would read on my computer with my screen reader. 2. A volunteer met me when I arived to make sure that I got to where i needed to go. 3. At every rehearsal, someone was there to make sure I was ok and had what I needed. 4. All volunteers were eager to help me in any way, at meals, just getting around the Shedd, and I haven't ever felt lost or confused while there. 5. the choir director made sure I had all music materials, and even took the time to help me with a song by dictating words to me so i could Braille them for my use, and that was done on her own time by the way. the Shedd is a great place, and any visually challenged, or visually disabled, or whatever the trendy words of the week are, can feel righthome there, and enjoy any adtivity there. I would recommend it to anyone. Jim Rawls, Covina California

I've stayed at this Courtyard by Marriott annually for 4 years. The rooms with accessible tubs (drop-down bench, adjustable height shower) and roll-under sinks have two double beds which are nice for families. Tub arrangement isn't ideal as water from the shower head doesn't reach the bench easily. Good parking options. Staff at breakfast room are very helpful if you need assistance reaching in the food line.

There are parking spaces under the hotel, but they are quite small and located in a dark, somewhat secluded location. The carpet throughout the hotel tends to throw a manual wheelchair around according the the grain (which varies in direction). The rooms are somewhat spacious, but often have to be re-arranged to accommodate a wheelchair. Handheld shower nozzles are often left in a position too high to reach from a wheelchair independently, as are towels.
